Mexican legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. is not a fan of the recently finalized bout between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Amir Khan.

The fight was announced last Tuesday, with Khan moving up to a catch-weight of 155-pounds to face Canelo for the WBC middleweight championship at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The HBO Pay-Per-View bout takes place on May 7th.

Khan (31-3, 19KOs),  a former champion at junior welterweight, move up to the welterweight limit of 147 in 2014. He's had three bouts at welterweight and now meets a fighter who is likely going to be a light heavyweight on the day of their fight.

Chavez feels Canelo is going very well in his career. The Mexican superstar captured the vacant WBC title last November with a twelve round unanimous decision over Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand.

"I think that Canelo is doing good things. But what I do not like, as you know, is the fight with Khan. This is a very uneven fight, they are in two totally different weights. This is more about business than boxing," Chavez Sr. said.

The fight Chavez Sr. would like to see is between Canelo (46-1-1, 32KOs) and WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs).

Golovkin is the mandatory challenger to the WBC title. The winner of Canelo-Khan would have to face him in the fall. Golovkin holds the WBC's interim-title. If the winner of Canelo-Khan refuses to face him, then Golovkin will become the full champion.

"Yes, that's the fight that we are expecting, that's what the public really wants to see. It's a difficult fight for the Canelo and let's see what happens," Chavez Sr. said.
