Last week on BoxingScene.com, WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs) said Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. "did not deserve a rematch" because he gave away his title in a "cheap" manner by not properly training and testing positive for marijuana in the post-fight drug test results.

Martinez dominated the match, but he was knocked down and badly hurt in the twelfth round. Chavez (46-1) says Martinez is afraid to do a rematch because now he knows the possibility of getting knocked out is very real.

"Martinez is afraid. He's knows that I'm going to knock him out. That's why he won't give me a rematch," Chavez said.

Their promoters are very interested in staging a fall rematch. Martinez will defend against Martin Murry on April 27th in Argentina. Chavez is being targeted to return on a date in May.

jnr should stfu and fight geale or GGG - winner fights martinez. As it stands jnr doesn't deserve sh it. Out of all of em the one I'd like to see is GGG against Martinez but GGG needs to get a big name win first.

If the Jr fight doesn't happen, after Murray, where does Martinez go? GGG is a fan fight but the guy doesn't have enough mainstream appeal to be on Martinez's radar, as he has often said he'd like to only fight in big money bouts and in all honesty he deserves that. Floyd Mayweather down at 15...
