WBC silver junior flyweight champion Yessica "Kika" Chavez (19-3, 4KOs) has promised to overpower Arely Mucino (18-2-1, 10KOs) when they collide on Saturday night in Coacalco, Mexico. Chavez has had a huge 2013 with victories over Irma Sanchez and a very big upset over the undefeated Argentine superstar Yesica Bopp. The fight will be carried by Televisa Deportes. Mucino is a very live opponent and many believes she might have the goods to walk away with the title.
"I do my job seriously. I train as a champion to win as a champion. Nobody gave me nothing that I have. I have always battled with the strongest, against champions and hopefully the fans recognize my efforts. [Mucino is] a girl with very dynamic boxing, throwing many punches and always go forward. But now I have the antidote. She will stop dead in her tracks when she feels my punch. There can be no margin of error against an opponent as skilled and has an relentless attack, but I'm focused on what I have to do and I'm going out with the win," Chavez said.Tags: Yessica Chavez
