5/21/11  W 12  ADRIAN DIACONU (on undercard of Hopkins-Pascal II.  Dominiated statistically, landing 240 of 620 total punches (39%-52 thrown per round) to 106 of 591 (18%) for Diaconu.  Dawson landed 59% of his power shots (157 of 267), but never had Diaconu in any trouble.  Dawson landed 24% of his 29 jabs thrown per round.  Scoring: 117-111 Dawson; 118-110 Dawson; 116-112 Dawson.)

8/14/10 TL 11  JEAN PASCAL (Dawson a 4-1 favorite despite fighting in Pascal’s backyard. Dawson had Pascal in serious trouble in round eleven, before an accidental clash of heads left Dawson with a cut eye and unable to continue.  They went to the scorecards that read: 108-101 Pascal & 106-103 Pascal 2x. Coming off a career-long 279 day layoff, Dawson averaged just 42 punches thrown per round (134 of 436-31%) to 114 of 430 (27%) for Pascal  Pascal had the edge in power shots (90 of 252-36%) to 77 of 218 (35%) for Dawson.  Dawson averaged 61 punches thrown per round in his previous seven fights.)

11/7/09  W 12  GLEN JOHNSON (Outlanded Johnson 246-167, landing 33% of his 63 punches thrown per round.  Dawson also avg’d 42 jabs thrown per round and landed a whopping 56% of his power shots on the iron-chinned Johnson, who landed 24% of his 57 punches thrown per round.  Scoring: 117-111 D; 115-113 D 2x (not that close!)

5/9/09  W 12  ANTONIO TARVER (Dawson landed 209 of 677 total punches (31%-56 thrown per round) to just 121 of 752 (16%) for Tarver, who landed just 19% (76 of 408) of his power shots.  Dawson landed 143 of 392 power shots (36%).  Dawson landed 23% of his 24 jabs thrown per round.  Scoring: 117-111 D 2x & 116-112 D.)

10/11/08  W 12  ANTONIO TARVER (won Tarver’s ibf light heavy title after relinquishing his wbc belt.  Landed 36% of his 54 punches thrown per round.  Also landed 48% of his power shots (172 of 362).  Tarver landed 25% of his 75 punches thrown per round.  Tarver averaged 99 punches thrown in last two rounds.  Tarver was down for a flash knockdown in 12th.  Scoring: 118-109; 117-110 2x.)

4/12/08  W 12  GLEN JOHNSON (successfully defended light heavy title.  Landed 28% of his 79 punches thrown per round.  Johnson landed 35% of his 69 punches thrown per round.  Dawson controlled first nine rounds, then a Johnson right hand two minutes into 10th buckled Dawson’s knees.  Johnson had a 89-55 edge in connects over the last 3 rounds.  Dawson threw a fight low 45 punches in 12th round.  Both landed 42% of their power shots for the fight.  Scoring: 116-112 D 3x.)

2/3/07  W 12  TOMASZ ADAMEK (won Adamek’s light heavy title.  Landed 44% of his 46 punches thrown per round.  Outlanded Adamek 241-114, including 156-69 in power shots, landing 49%.  Was credited with knockdown in 3rd round, then was down himself in 10th round.  Scoring: 118-108; 116-110; 117-109.)
