Estadio Luna Park, Buenos Aires, Argentina - In quite an upset, unheralded cruiserweight contender Cesar Crenz (20-5, 13 KOs) put his punches together and stopped former WBA champion Hugo Hernan Garay (34-7, 18 KOs) in five rounds of action after putting him down and finishing him off.
Garay gave a tough challenge to WBO champion Marco Huck in July before he getting stopped in the tenth round. Ironically, Crenz was knocked out in five rounds in January by Rogelio Omar Rossi, who challenges Huck for the title on October 22 in Germany. Crenz also lost a twelve round decision to current IBF champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez.
