Celestino Caballero Targets Unification With Chris John
By Jhonny Gonzalez
WBA "regular" featherweight champion Celestino "Pelenchín" Caballero (36-4, 23KOs) has targeted a unification with the WBA's "super champion" at his weight, undefeated Indonesian Chris "The Dragon" John (46-0-2, 22KOs). At only age 32, John has been fighting since 1998 and first captured the WBA title in 2003. During the recent WBA annual awards dinner in Panama, John expressed some interest in facing Caballero, who doesn't have a problem with traveling to Indonesia to make the fight.
"Of course I would like to fight John. And I really hope that it can happen as soon as possible. It would be a great fight. I know he doesn't leave his country much, but I, Celestino Caballero, am willing to travel wherever he wants to make this great fight," Caballero said.
