Former flyweight and super flyweight champion Hugo Cazares (37-7-2, 26KOs) is hunting for more gold in 2013. The boxer, a native of Los Mochis, is now working with Montiel Productions and Promociones del Pueblo to secure another title shot.
Cazares has been fighting at the higher weights as of late and says there is no problem with a championship match at 118 or 122-pounds. Since 2009, Cazares has only suffered one defeat - a close twelve round split decision to Tomonobu Shimizu.
He would like to fight any of the big names at 118 or 122- including IBF bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz and super bantamweight champs Nonito Donaire and Abner Mares.
Casarez is scheduled to return on January 26th in Mexico.
