Former champion Carlos Quintana was very impressed with Danny Garcia's four round stoppage of British superstar Amir Khan. Garcia (24-0, 15KOs), now the WBC/WBA champion at 140, was more or less dominated in the first two rounds, but he changed the entire fight with a single left hook in the third round. He dropped Khan three times before the fight was stopped. Quintana sees Garcia as the new star on the Puerto Rican scene.

"Now [Garcia] is in the big leagues. [The win] was tremendous. Even I was surprised. Honestly, I had never seen him fight before and I never thought he would beat Amir Khan. Garcia looked great, super strong and in tremendous shape. Amir Kahn did not affect him [in the first two rounds]... and then came the left hook, and it was brutal," Quintana said to Jose Sanchez.
