Carlos Negron Confirms Return Will Be as a Heavyweight

By Rey Colon

The return of Carlos Negron (15-1, 11 KO's), set for September 20 in Orlando, Florida, will take place in the heavyweight division as confirmed by the boxer himself. Negron, who stands at 6'6, represented Puerto Rico in the 2008 Olympics. Negron had a lot of success at the cruiserweight level and them moved up to heavyweight. He suffered his sole loss and discussed a return to cruiser, but that plan has changed.

"I will return as a heavyweight. I weigh like 220 pounds but I'm training well with all of the the weights at the gym. I'm training very hard, both here in Las Vegas, Nevada and in Kissimmee. I'm getting more experience," Negron said.

"I'm 27 and I feel great. With more physical and mental focus. I am free of any promotional and managerial contracts."

Check your facts on the story, Negron lost to Epifanio Mendoza, who fought mostly at Light Middle and Middleweight, and the fight was at Cruiserweight not Heavyweight. At the time of the fight Mendoza had 12 losses on his record…
I remember some Ricans on here were so high on this dude. :lol1:
Your attacks on "Ricans" and Cotto has made you look somewhat like 50'cent looks right about now. A disgruntled, angry, scorned, individual.

he doesn't show me much & he'll probably face a loser like Orlando's Harold Sconyers...
