Carlos Molina Dominates Damian Frias, George Wins

Buffalo Run Casino, Miami, Oklahoma - Junior middleweight contender Carlos Molina (20-5-2, 6KOs) outworked Damian Frias (19-5-1, 10KOs) over ten rounds to win a unanimous decision. Molina was too busy, controlled the action and pushed Frias back all night long. All three judges saw it 100-90.

Fought at a catch-weight of 170-pounds, Donovan George (23-2-1, 20KOs) stopped Dionisio Miranda (21-8-2, 18KOs) after six rounds of action. Miranda was a late-replacement for Adonis Stevenson, who withdrew with a hand injury.Miranda was too small and his tank looked empty by the sixth, as George began to punish him. Before the start of the seventh, Miranda's corner stopped the fight.

Light heavyweight prospect Vilier Quinonez (5-0, 3KOs) won a four round unanimous decision over Eddie Tigs (1-3). All three judges scored it 40-36.

Good fight by Molina even though it was a one sided fight. I was more interested in getting Teddy Atlas's take on that crazy fight in the Olympics where the guy went down six times in the round and won…
