Carlos Buitrago Wins, Jun Doliguez Overcomes Tamayo

Centro Internacional de Convenciones Yucatan Siglo XXI in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico - In a battle of undefeateds, WBO interim-minimumweight champion Carlos “Chocorroncito” Buitrago (27-0, 16 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Julian Yedra (21-1, 13 KOs). The scores were 118-110, 116-113 and 118-111.

Recently signed to Zanfer Promotions, Filipino contender Jun Doliguez (16-0-2, 12KOs) had a very tough outing with an eight round majority draw with Ruben Tamayo (22-4-4, 16KOs). The scores were 77-75, 76-76 and 76-76. Initially it was believed that one of the scores was 77-75 in favor of Doliguez but it was quickly corrected to a draw.

What the heck! Initially 77-75 for Doliguez was changed to draw just to make Tamayo not defeated??? Mexico.. hahaha! What’s this???!:boxing:
