The predictions continue to pour in for tomorrow night's highly anticipated fight between IBF/WBO/WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0, 26KOs) and undefeated Olympic gold medal winner Andre Ward (30-0, 15KOs).

Sky Sports spoke with three of the UK's best, past and present, in former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, former super middleweight champion Carl Froch, and current WBA 'regular' light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly.

Cleverly was battered in four rounds by Kovalev, who traveled to Wales to snatch away the WBO world title. After feeling that power first hand, Cleverly picks Kovalev to come away with a decision win.

"This is a brilliant fight and the best one that can be made in boxing at the moment. It's two of the best pound-for-pound fighters putting it all on the line to be the number one and fair play to them for that. It's really intriguing as Kovalev's power, distance and timing go up against Ward's masterful boxing technique and defensive ability," Cleverly said.

"I think it will be cagey early on. Kovalev will look to start fast and let his hands go, putting Ward on the back foot and I'm sure that Ward will feel his power early on and will be quite negative. Ward will nick a few rounds with his movement and technique, landing the odd right or left hand, but overall Kovalev's work rate and power will force the fight and 'Krusher' will take it on points.

Lewis is giving the edge to Ward, but cautions that he must start off fast and control of the pace from the very first round.

"You've got two undefeated guys, you've got Andre Ward moving up a weight class and you've got Kovalev who is the king of this class, both of them have been at the peak of their weight class and yet they are meeting," Lewis told Sky Sports.

"I think it's a style match-up because both have different styles, but I may give the edge to Ward, although he is taking on a bigger and heavier guy.

"I believe Andre has to get it going from the get-go. Kovalev is great at distance and Andre really has to cut down the space between them. Both of them have knock-out power, so we are in for a serious fight. I believe this is the pound-for-pound title. Both of them are very gifted at their craft and both of them take it very seriously."

Froch, who was beaten by Ward in the final fight of the Super Six tournament, is siding with his former rival to come away with the win.

"Ward is in the who needs him or the who wants to try and beat him club, so everyone turns up to watch and just thinks 'right I want to see him get beat now' just like they did with Floyd Mayweather," Froch said.

"However, I think he will eventually get to that level where he is unbeaten and is pretty much unbeatable, so people will back the likes of Kovalev or Golovkin to hope that Ward gets beaten. But I don't think he ever will be."
