Is former super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24 KOs) reconsidering the possibility of facing IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs).

For weeks there was talk of Golovkin potentially going up to super middleweight for a fight with Froch in the UK.

Froch has not fought since May of last year when he knocked out George Groves before 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. There is a very good possibility that Froch may retire instead of fighting again.

During a recent interview, Froch expressed more interest in facing IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale.

But on Saturday, Froch have a big hint of renewed interest on the social networks by posting a photo of himself with the words - “Too big & too strong for GGG.”

It didn't take long before Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, responded back - “Carl, there’s only one way to find out"

Loeffler has not heard anything from Froch's promoter in several weeks. Whether or not Froch's tweet is a sign that he plans to reopen negotiations remains to be seen.
