Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (45-1-1, 32KOs) is less than two weeks away before he challenges WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The fight with Mayweather broke several financial records and stands as the third largest boxing pay-per-view with 2.2 million purchases.

Mayweather dominated their contest and there was little interest in seeing a rematch.

Canelo, only 25-yers-old, will have the opportunity to prove that he's truly an improved fighter when he faces Cotto.

He still wants to avenge the loss to Mayweather, but he refuses to chase the recently retired fighter for the opportunity.

If Mayweather decides to fight again next year, and that fight is presented, Canelo is ready to negotiate. Unlike many other fighters, he won't waste his time chasing after Floyd.

"I'm not going to worry about that, if I get it or I don't get it. I only worry about winning and giving the best fights to the people and the rest is a bonus. The rest will happen if it's left alone. If it happens then it's good, and if not I'll move forward with my career," Canelo said.

"I think things are better left alone. If a rematch is presented then it's good for me. If it doesn't happen, I will continue with my career as I always have. I'm not going to worry about whether it will happen or not happen, I'll worry about my career."
