LAS VEGAS – Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez scored a 10th round technical knockout victory over Alfredo “El Perro” Angulo in front of 14,610 fans at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in the main event of Saturday’s “TOE TO TOE: CANELO vs. ANGULO” on SHOWTIME PPV. Canelo (43-1-1, 31 KOs) landed a vicious left uppercut that rocked “El Perro’s” head back at 0:47 of the 10th round.  Sensing Angulo was taking too much punishment, referee Tony Weeks stepped in and halted the exciting battle.

Many fans were angry with the stoppage, as the crowd showered Week's decision with a deafening chorus of boos.

Some fans began to pelt the ring with objects and others were throwing objects at Canelo and his team as they walked back to the dressing room.

"No, I'm not surprised that happened. He brought a lot of his fans. There were a lot of people here for him. A lot of his fans came to see him and obviously they were disappointed with what happened. They were upset," Canelo said.
It's just like Froch v Groves, the crowd blamed Froch. Boxing fans really aren't the brightest.
The crowd booed Froch cos hes so arrogant that he actually believed that he was winning the fight, not just that the ref stopped it. People shouldn't have booed Canelo,...

:lol1: :lol1: WOOF WOOF!!! War perro forever lol! I wouldn't have thrown anything at Canelo though, he came to fight and you have to respect him for that. It wasn't his fault the fight got stopped either... If anything they should have thrown objects at Weeks, that I would have done without a se...
Went just as I thought it would. Angulo slow as a turtle with no defense and Canelo a counter puncher with enough power to do damage. I hope this ppv did awful. That way they only put WORTHY PPVS.
perro lasted longer then i thought he would.
