A decision should be coming soon with respect to the next opponent for Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (44-1-1, 32KOs). According to coach Jose 'Chepo' Reynoso, who is the head of Canelo's team, a meeting is being targeted for next week with the directors of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar de la Hoya and Eric Gomez, to discuss potential rivals for a planned return in December.

A number of opponents have been mentioned for December, with James Kirkland as the reported frontrunner, but Chepo says things won't become clear until the meeting happens.

"The truth is, until we are there [in California] we won't know [who we're fighting]. The good thing is that there are a number of candidates, but now we can not say if it's going to be this or that opponent. We need a group meeting to discuss the opponent, location, the weight for the fight - and next week we will have more certainty," said Chepo.
he didn't went through per say, he squeeze by with a lot of help and a big bump on the road...
The feeling that he may or may not have won a fight clearly is very different from being a scared punk. What matters is he gets in the ring. Too many don't.
ODH better not **** this up. Canelo has is on pace to fight cotto and Floyd on the 2 mexican holidays next year and make at least $25 mil. Then follow that with a career defining GGG fight and then the JCC jr mega clash.
Yeah if there was anytime to cherry pick a Ro...
