Canelo Demolishing His Sparring Partners in Camp

By Rene Umanzor

WBC/WBA 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) is showing no mercy to his sparring partners, according to Golden Boy Promotions' head matchmaker Eric Gomez. Canelo is training in Big Bear for his September 14th fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs). The match, taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas,  will be carried by Showtime Pay-Per-View.

Gomez has been sending an army of sparring partners to Canelo's camp, because the Mexican star is knocking them out of rotation.

"I just spoke to [Canelo's trainer] Chepo Reynoso and he told me [Canelo] already knocked off four sparring partners. We've already changed eight or nine people, and just send him another [sparring partner] from Philadelphia. I've never seen him like this," Gomez said.

"One of the sparring partners broke a rib, two others were injured, one of them injured a shoulder and another was knocked out. So [his camp has been] very good."
I just hope they look better than this guy
I know 1 thing, Canelo better not have his left arm down like that trying to shoulder roll... or he will be eating straight…
do you know who???
I do. Donyil Livingston who is a natural 160 pounder and Dequan Arnett who fights at 154. I'm sure there are more but that's a start.

The last guy mayweather knocked out was Hatton about five years ago. Another snooze fest with a mayeather UD at the end.

I also heard that not one sparring partner has been able to land a single punch on Mayweather, it should be a good fight!:wtf1:
