The return of Ivan Calderon (35-2-1, 6 KOs) is being pushed back once again. The planned fight with WBO minimumweight champion Moises Fuentes of Mexico has been pushed back numerous times. A few days ago, it was being reported that Calderon was going to face Fuentes on July 28th, but Peter Rivera, vice president of PR Best Boxing, said the fight is being postponed until early August.
"When planning events, it is necessary to consider other activities that may be running at the same time. Originally we were planning to have Calderon on July 28, but that's a long holiday weekend, the Olympics are starting and are we considering moving the event to the 3rd or 4th of August," said Rivera.
Calderon has not fought since last October, when he beat Felipe Rivas by split decision.
