By Jake Donovan

Isao Gonzalo Carranza goes for his second try at a regional super bantamweight title as he faces fellow Mexico City-based boxer Jesus Santillan in their scheduled 12-round headliner Saturday evening at Auditorio Municipal in Cuautlacingo, Puebla, Mexico.

Their main event is expected to air shortly, live on Cadena Tres in Mexico and also streaming live on WBCBoxing.tv.

The same feed on the WBC's streaming service is also expected to air the super featherweight crossroads bout between knockout artists Adrian Estrella and Dante Jardon following this broadcast.

UNDERCARD

Aaron Lazcano scored a four-round decision over Erick Barcenas in a matchup of winless lightweights. Scores were 40-36 (twice) and 39-37 in favor of Lazcano (1-1, 0KOs) whose pro debut came more than a year ago. Barcenas (0-3) was out even longer, having fought twice in 2012 and then disappearing before resurfacing Saturday evening.

In the televised opener, Edson Eduardo Neri was forced to go the distance but settled for a landslide decison win over Guillermo Aguillar (0-1). All scores read 40-36 in favor of Neri (1-1, 1KO), whose pro debut was a 1st round knockout this past January.
