Cabrera Leaves For Buenos Aires, Vows To Beat Narvaez

By Jhonny Gonzalez

Determined to beat one of the greatest boxing idols of Argentina, world ranked Jose "Matador" Cabrera (20-2-2) jumped on a plane and started his long journey to Buenos Aires, where on Saturday night he challenges the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Omar Narvaez.

The pride of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, who is promoted by Hector Garcia, held his preparation in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and sparred world class fighters inside the Rafael Guzman Gym.

"On Saturday I finished the preparation, and I can only thank the entire team in Guadalajara. Rafael Guzman helped me and my coach Roberto Camacho with the preparation and sparring, with thanks to Arthur 'King' Santos, Rafael 'The Monky' Guzman, the 'Goofy' Montes. Thanks to everyone for the support. I place myself in God's hands and hope he gives me the win against Omar Narvaez," said Cabrera.

"I'm well prepared, I have the ambition and hunger to win, I want the world championship, and that's why I prepared thoroughly and I will not waste this opportunity."
