Caballero vs Burgos Clash Being Discussed For May

By Jhonny Gonzalez

Reports in Panama have revealed that discussions are taking place for a featherweight clash between Celestino Caballero (34-3, 22KOs) and Juan Carlos Burgos (26-1, 19KOs). Rogelio Espino, the legal adviser for Caballero, said their promoter Lou DiBella told them a fight with Burgos was being discussed for the month of May and American network ESPN would televise the bout on "Friday Night Fights."

"We know he's a very difficult opponent, but Caballero is not going to fight with six-round fighters. The objective from Lou DiBella is for Caballero to look good again on U.S. television. And we are looking for good fights. Burgos is a very good opponent, almost the same height and has big punching power," Espino said.
