| Caballero-Garcia Heads To Fantasy Springs in Indio, 7/28
|
|
By Rick Reeno BoxingScene.com had been advised that Sampson Boxing, through their attorney Leon Margules, issued the fight contracts for the featherweight bout between WBA champion Celestino Caballero and undefeated mandatory challenger Mikey Garcia. Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing won the recent purse bid to secure the promotional rights to Caballero-Garcia. According to the fight contracts, Caballero-Garcia will take place on July 28th at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. Based on what I've been told, Telefutura will televise. However, if either fighter refuses to sign the bout agreement - there will be consequences. If Caballero (36-4, 23 KOs) refuses to sign, then he will lose his WBA title. And if Garcia (28-0, 24KOs) refuses to sign, he would lose his mandatory position. Tags: Celestino Caballero , Mikey Garcia , Caballero-Garcia , Caballero vs Garcia |
