| Bute vs. Grachev in Play For November 3 in Montreal
|
|
By Osman Rodriguez Former super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (30-1, 24 KOs) is returning to the ring on November 3rd at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Bute, coming off his devastating TKO loss to Carl Froch, is set to go against another puncher in Denis Grachev of Russia. Grachev (12-0-1, 8 KOs), as some may remember, recently secured a stunning upset with an eight round TKO over the highly rated light heavyweight contender Ismayl Sillakh (17-1-0, 14 KOs). If Bute wins this contest, then he will move on to a March rematch with Carl Froch. The fight is going to take place at catch-weight of 170-pounds. I think Bute is going in with serious intentions, and could possibly stop Grachev.
I've only seen a couple fights of Grachev after dismantling Sillakh so can't judge to much on him, but from what i've seen, there's nothing impressive much. He's tough, but has no skill and just comes forward l... |

Grachev has minimal boxing ability, I'm shocked he was able to knockout Sillakh. Although Sillakh has flaws in his defense, moving back with his left hand down and then got clipped.
Bute should be able to box circles around Grachev. Unless of course he gets tapped on the chin. |
