Ricky Burns is convinced he can regain his world champion status as he prepares to make his first appearance since losing his WBO lightweight title.
The 31-year-old lost his belt to Terence Crawford in March after nine successful world title bouts but he goes into a WBC eliminator against unbeaten Montenegrin Dejan Zlaticanin in Glasgow on Friday with his mind set on taking on champion Omar Figueroa.
Burns said: "I believe I have another world title in me. Omar is a good fighter, another southpaw, but I've seen clips of him and his last defence was a close fight and some people thought he lost it.
"So it would be a fight that I would be confident going into and the WBC belt is the one that everyone wants to get their hands on, so fingers crossed that I can get through this one and Eddie (Hearn) can work his magic and get me that shot."Tags: Ricky Burns , Omar Figueroa
