Brook: Winning IBF Title - Khan Fight Will 100% Happen!

By Edward Chaykovsky

Kell Brook (32-0, 22KOs) is hoping that a victory over IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter (24-0-1, 15KOs) will bring him the prize that he wants most - a domestic super-fight with Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs).

Brook will challenge Porter on August 16th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. He doesn't believe Porter is on his level and predicts a stoppage victory. If his outcome proves correct, he feels a fight with Khan, an opportunity that he's chased for years, will finally be in reach.

Although he's rejected the fight several times in the past, Khan has already stated that he's willing to face Brook - if he beats Porter for the IBF belt next month.

"Me winning this world title, that fight will happen - 100%. If for some reason it didn't happen, an unbelievable international fight I can have with Pacquiao, Mayweather, Bradley. There are some huge, huge fights out there. The list goes on and on and on. As long as I got the world title, and I'm unbeaten - I'm in them big, massive fights," Brook told Sports Vibe.

Brook better not be overlooking Porter. If he is, he's gonna be in for a long night.

First lets look at the fighters brook has faced. A bunch of bums from england with padded records. Not to mention almost more than half of brooks' opponents have a terrible under .500 winning records. Porter, imho, is vastly…

Looking too far ahead when your eyes ought to be on Porter day and night. Maybe since Brook's gonna get a thorough beating he should be allowed to dream.

I think both Khan and Porter beat Brook. Regardless, looking forward to this fight :boxing:

Brook might cause porter problems early on but after the 4-5 rounds porter will take over and dominate brook en route to a 117-111 victory.... maybe score a kd along the way,! No way brook wins this fight imo..
