Brook Warns Porter: I Refuse To Lose, Expect Fireworks!

Mandatory challenger Kell Brook (32-0, 22KOs) of Sheffield has warned IBF welterweight world champion Shawn "Showtime" Porter (24-0-1, 15KOs) that he better expect fireworks on Saturday night, when they trade punches at he StubHub Center in Carson, California. The fight will headline a world championship tripleheader live on SHOWTIME® (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).

Brook, fighting in the champion's backyard, is very confident of returning back to the UK with the world title around his waist. He does expect some rough moments, where the two of them will trade big punches at close range.

"Porter comes forward with swinging punches. Anyone at this level, you must take it off to them, they are in the ring for a reason. I know that it will be a tough fight, but every top performer can adjust and you will see me adjust. I know that it will be a dogfight but I always find a way to win," Brook said.

"I am a slick fighter who will be very exciting. You are going to see crisp shots and I think that this fight will be a fight of the year candidate. I refuse to lose, but there will definitely be some fireworks during this fight."

Brook's name is probably more recognizable to most American fans as being the "the British guy who wants Amir Khan." In two days, he's focused on being known for something else as he intends to give the American fans a performance to remember.

"This is definitely my opportunity to show American fans what all the fuss is about with this British guy. My message to them is that I will go into that ring and give it my all and come out with that world title. Get your popcorn ready," Brook said.

The only thing making me second guess the result is Porters power. But I think Paulie was just shot. Brook should win this handy if he doesn't crumble from Porters power. BTW as an Irish lad, **** all you sad…

Expect Brook to knock porter off in spectacular fashion in this fight, he's just another come forward flat-footed brawler. A mayweather opponent so to speak.
