| Broner vs Sykes Clash in Play For Peterson-Khan Card?
|
|
According to the Dewsbury Star, Gary Sykes (20-2, 5KOs) has accepted a non-title opportunity against WBO super featherweight champion Adrien Broner (23-0, 19KOs) on May 19th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Sykes says the fight is scheduled for ten rounds. Amir Khan challenges WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson in an HBO televised rematch in the main event. Both of Sykes' defeats came at the hands of Gary Buckland - a first round TKO in November 2010 and a twelve round decision in September 2011. Sykes said: “I have never gone into the ring thinking I’m going to lose and I never will, even against the world number one.” Tags: Adrien Broner , Gary Sykes , Broner-Sykes , Broner-Sykes |
