Adrien Broner has used 2012 as his year to breakout as one of boxing’s biggest stars. The Cincinnati native has captivated people with his skill inside the ring and with his playful antics outside of it.

There is much speculation as to who Broner will be facing next. A date of February 16th has been set aside for Broner but an opponent is still being worked on. Rick Reeno reported a fight with Ricky Burns is currently being talked about but nothing has been finalized.

One fight in particular many boxing fans are looking at is one between Broner and fast hand Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa who made his return to the ring this month after a 15 month layoff. Gamboa is also one of the fighters signed 50 Cent’s new promotional company SMS Promotions.

A few days ago Broner tweeted at 50 Cent “what’s good where your Lil fighter GAMBOA at let’s work”.

When BoxingScene caught up with Broner, he was asked if that’s a fight he’d like to make and what does he think about so many fighters calling him out for a fight.

“Them guys want pay days. Pay days. They’re nuts. Man listen, Gamboa don’t want that. 50 don’t what that. They want it [up] until they get it. Things change” said Broner.

While Broner has been putting on dominant victories against his opponents, he assures we haven’t even begun to see the best of what he can offer and is looking to have a big 2013.

“I ain’t showed ya’ll nothing yet. Ya’ll ain’t seen nothing yet. Any fight that Adrien Broner is in is a big fight. So you’re going to see a lot of me [in 2013]” Broner would tell BoxingScene.
