| Broner, Guerrero Confrontation in Oakland: Trade Words
|
|
By Rick Reeno Oakland, California - There was an unexpected confrontation at the Andre Ward vs. Chad Dawson weigh-in, which took place at the Oakland City Center. WBC interim-welterweight contender Robert Guerrero (30-1-1, 18KOs), and undefeated lightweight contender Adrien Broner (24-0, 20Ks), went face to face as a crowd of onlookers charged in. The two fighters have been trading words for the last few weeks on Twitter and fired verbal shots at each other through several published articles. It was hard to tell what was being said, but Guerrero spoke to BoxingScene.com after Broner and his crew walked away. "He's been saying all of this stuff, challenging me and calling me out, so I heard he was down here and I wanted to pay him a little visit. The one thing that made me laugh, he said 'I still got my '0' - but I told him that if he wants a challenge - let's do this at 147. I got the title, let's make it happen. And he said 'oh, send over the contract' - and throughout the whole thing, he wouldn't make any eye contract at all. It's funny when someone talks looking the other way," Guerrero told BoxingScene.com. Tags: Adrien Broner , Robert Guerrero |

If Broner fights Guerro at 147lb he will get my praise and support. That being said I don't know why Guerro is instant on the fight taking place at that weight because he is not a 147lb fighter, his build is lighweight/Jr Welterweight. |
Broner just said on video 'I'm over 150 right now, I can cut to 147 and we can do it'.
He called out Guerrero in the first place also. You call people out when you want to go and fight them, not when you want them to jump down a division to meet you. Chad called out Ward, Cha... |
the one who wants it at 147 when he could easily make it at 140 because the other guy is a lightweight?

So Broner calls out Guerrero.
Guerrero accepts the challenge.
Let's see who prices himself out to duck the fight.
I'd expect Guerrero to be Broner's next fight. If not...
