Former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs continues his pursuit of a fight with WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF king Wladimir Klitschko. Briggs traveled to Hamburg, Germany and crashed the open media workout for Klitschko's Saturday defense against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev.

There have been allegations that several of these public confrontations between Briggs and Klitschko are being staged, with some reporters under the belief that Wladimir's manager, Bernd Boente, is paying Briggs to add hype/controversy to a future fight with Klitschko.

Briggs denied those allegation, stating that hates Klitschko's manager and would knock him out if he sees him on the street.

"Bernd does not love me. Bernd does not like a true champion. If I see him, I'll knock him out on the street. I didn't come here for his sake, I cam here for my own sake. I came because the public wants a new world champion. I'm not here by the order of Bernd. He doesn't pay me. He didn't give me a dollar. And he hasn't paid for the fight with Vitali, which took place four years ago. Here I am, on its own initiative and at the request of the public," Briggs told Sportbox.
