Briggs: No More Words, Next Time I'll Slap Klitschko

By Edward Chaykovsky

Veteran Shannon Briggs has promised to slap the face of WBO/IBO/IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. There have been several verbal confrontations between the two in the last few months. Briggs has crashed several of Klitschko's training sessions in Florida, overseas conferences and recently he confronted Wladimir in a restaurant - where Briggs sat at Wladimir's table and started eating the champion's food. Briggs is doing everything possible to bait Wladimir into a fight.

Should they meet again, Briggs promises to make things physical. No more trash talking, the next time around he plans to slap Wladimir.

"I would slap the shit out of him [if I saw him again]. I ain’t doing no more talking. The next time he sees me, it’s gonna be hands. No more talking, he likes to talk. Ain’t no more talking, this is personal. His brother beat me with one arm . He couldn’t knock me out or knock me down," Briggs told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
