Brian Rose (19-1-1, 5KOs) retained the British junior middleweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Max Maxwell (15-11-3, 3KOs) at Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The scores were 119-110 twice and 119-111. With the victory, Rose avenges the only loss of his career. Maxwell knocked out Rose in six rounds in their previous meeting back in May 2010. Rose boxed, moved and fought Maxwell head-on when necessary. When the fight was over, the crowd was clapping for both boxers who put on a show with a war of wills over twelve high charged rounds. Rose is going to return in the summer, says promoter Frank Maloney.
