BoxingScene.com was advised that junior welterweight contender Breidis Prescott (23-2, 19KOs) rejected a "lowball offer" to fight former champion Robert Guerrero (28-1, 18KOs) on the April 9 pay-per-view undercard to Juan Manuel Marquez-Erik Morales at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Several sources with knowledge of the situation advised BoxingScene that Prescott was offered $30,000 to take the fight. The two sides were very far apart on the money. Prescott, who knocked out Amir Khan in 54-seconds in 2008, has been chasing a Khan rematch for the last few months.
Is a PPV, HBO doesn't really have nothing to do with it.
True, the promoters put the deal together..... I thought HBO was doing the FIGHT??? By the way, HEARNS and LEONARD were active in the late 70's, and early 80's, not the 60's!!!
