Following his big win over Anthony Peterson in a WBA lightweight eliminator at The Palms in Las Vegas, undefeated Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios issued the call for a showdown with WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto of Mexico. Rios dropped Peterson and dominated the action until Peterson was disqualified in the seventh round for repeated low blows.

"I won this WBC green belt in February (NABF version) and now I want the real one," an excited Rios said.

Rios added - "Humberto Soto has the real WBC belt and is looking for an opponent for his next fight  so let's do it. I know it will be an exciting fight."

Too many dickriders after an impressive win. However, Im actually impressed in Rios. I was already watching this kid even before his win over Peterson. Now he is on his way to contention. Hope he is not a hypejob though.
I wish they gave Rios his wish of Victor Ortiz... So Ortiz could knock his fkn head off
Ortiz does not have the balls to fight Rios. However, Ortiz may not have a choice. His manager is already talking about making this fight.
