Brandon Rios Wants a Humberto Soto Showdown Next

By Ryan Burton

Following his big win over Anthony Peterson in a WBA lightweight eliminator at The Palms in Las Vegas, undefeated Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios issued the call for a showdown with WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto of Mexico. Rios dropped Peterson and dominated the action until Peterson was disqualified in the seventh round for repeated low blows.

"I won this WBC green belt in February (NABF version) and now I want the real one," an excited Rios said.

Rios added - "Humberto Soto has the real WBC belt and is looking for an opponent for his next fight  so let's do it. I know it will be an exciting fight."
