It has been over 18 months since Brandon Rios has stepped inside a ring. The 10 round will air live on FS1.

That drought will end June 11, as he returns to the ring for one more attempt at a big fight.

Rios will square off against Aaron Herrera at the Pioneer Events Center in Lancaster, California, a source with knowledge of the information confirmed to BoxingScene.com Wednesday morning.

Rios (33-3-1, with 24 KOs) has not fought since November 7 of 2015, when he was stopped in round nine at the hands of Timothy Bradley.

During this time, Rios was released from his promotional contract with Top Rank, split with trainer Robert Garcia, and was hoping to finally secure a fight with rival Victor Ortiz.

A fight between Rios and Ortiz was penciled twice earlier this spring, but nothing materialized. The Oxnard, California resident is currently trained by Ricky Funez.

Rios has lost three of his last five bouts, with those losses coming to Bradley, Manny Pacquiao, and Mike Alvarado.

Herrera (32-6-1, with 21 KOs) has won his last three bouts, all against mediocre opposition, after losing to unbeaten fighters Pedro Campa, Regis Prograis, and Mike Reed.

In the co-feature, unbeaten junior welterweight Mario Barrios (18-0, with 10 KOs) will face Jose Luis Rodriguez (21-9, with 12 KOs) in a 10 round bout.

Hard-hitting Jose Miguel Borrego (12-0, with 11 KOs) and Lancaster’s Kevin Watts (11-1, with 4 KOs) will square off in an eight round junior welterweight bout.

Four more fights are scheduled to round out the card.
