During the premier edition of BoxingScene.com's new audio show, The Boxing Lab, WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios talked about numerous topics, including his return to the ring. Rios confirmed rumors that Michael Katsidis and Kevin Mitchell are the leading candidates to be his fall opponent on the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez III undercard, which takes place on November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"I hurt my hand in the (Urbano) Antillon fight but I should be ready to go in November.  A little birdie told me that Michael Katsidis or Kevin Mitchell are the guys that I will probably be fighting.  I can't confirm that, but that is what I am hearing," Rios told The Boxing Lab.

Rios also issued a warning to Mercito Gesta, the undefeated Filipino prospect who recently signed with Top Rank (who also promote Rios).  Gesta has made comments about wanting to face Rios in the near future.  Rios doesn't feel a fight versus Gesta does anything for his career but that he would have no problem facing Gesta.

"I hear that Gesta is talking sh*t. That he wants to fight me.  He doesn't really do anything for me but if they want to make it Mexican versus Filipino I will f*ck him up.  I will tear him a new assh*le!"
