Undefeated welterweight contender Jessie Vargas (22-0) has advised BoxingScene.com that he will return to the ring on October 12th on the televisedportion of the Tim Bradley-Juan Manuel Marquez pay-per-view undercard. He said that his opponent still hasn't been determined.

With this news the pay-per-view undercard is nearly set. Yesterday an article by BoxingScene's Rick Reeno was published that announced Seanie Monaghan will face Anthony Caputo Smith to open up the broadcast.  Last week an article by BoxingScene's Jake Donovan revealed that a fight between Orlando Salido and Orlando Cruz for the vacant WBO super bantamweight title will serve as the co-featured fight.

Vargas originally was going to fight in the televised co-featured on the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr-Bryan Vera card that takes place on September 7th. BoxingScene has been advised that Luis Carlos Abregu (35-1) will now likely open up that broadcast. One name that has been mentioned as a possible opponent is Brad Solomon (20-0).
