Bradley on Sparring Matthysse, Impressed By The Left

By Edward Chaykovsky

WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs) was very impressed after sparring junior welterweight puncher Lucas Matthysse (34-3, 32KOs). The two boxers sparred prior to Matthysse's bout with WBA/WBC champion Danny Garcia on September 14th in Las Vegas. Garcia won a twelve round unanimous decision. Bradley will face Mexican icon Juan Manuel Marquez on October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

"It was a good little sparring session. He didn't try to kill me, I didn't try to kill him. We just exchanged some good punches. He has a tremendous left hand. He can punch really hard with his left hand, I can tell you that. It was a great experience for me," Bradley said.

[QUOTE=ddangerous;13800258]Nonsense. Try and discredit him all you want, he is a top notch fighter with very good power. The fight with Garcia was not a blow-out by any stretch. And a rematch would likely be competitive again. Lucas does not…

[QUOTE=BoxingFreak32;13799456]I think sparring with bradley so early before the garcia fight was one of the reasons for lucas losing and not looking as sharp u shouldnt spar an elite fighter instead someone less skilled than you to build your confidence.…
