Bradley on Marquez: There are Things I Can Capitalize On

By Ryan Burton

In separate articles on BoxingScene.com, champions Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy expressing an interest in facing each other. The potential match up could possibly happen if neither fighter wins the Manny Pacquiao sweepstakes.  In the most recent article, Marquez said that Bradley was a more difficult match-up for him than what Pacquiao presented in their trilogy.  When asked about that statement, Bradley was taken aback.

"That's a weird statement. I think he says that just because he hasn't faced me and he's faced Manny before so he is familiar with his style," explained Bradley.  "He hasn't fought me before.  I am a short, strong, durable guy. He is just saying that this guy (Bradley) is a handful and tough to deal with," Bradley continued.

The Southern California native praised Marquez for his accomplishments in the sport.  While he respects the Mexican, Bradley feels that he has what it takes to defeat the three division champion.  He also revealed to BoxingScene that he has wanted to face Marquez for quite some time.

"Let's make it happen. I told my wife to call Cameron (Dunkin) and tell him to make it happen. That is a fight that I have wanted for a long time. He's a great, great fighter and a legend but I see things that I can capitalize on," Bradley concluded.

I agree with Bradley. I see Bradley really bringing it to JMM like he has never had it before, I'd I mean skilfully applied pressure not the punch bag sh!t katsidis brings. But JMM is a surgeon and he always…

Even at 40 Marquez takes Bradley to school. But great fight nonetheless, better than Marquez vs Pac 4

This fight should definitely happen first before a Pac vs. Brad fight IMO.. If Bradely beats Marquez convincingly then that would raise his stock up and make a Pac vs. TB fight more interesting..

2 bad JMM had to wait till end of his career for the big $$ but @ least he's getting some...whatever weight he beats Bradley...maybe they both should wear headgear w/the way both, especially Tim, uses their heads...I really don't…
