WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley picked up a sensational win on Saturday night, when he knocked out Brandon Rios in nine rounds at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The victory keeps Bradley in the running for a third fight with eight division champion Manny Pacquiao. Bradley won a controversial split decision over Pacquiao in 2012 and lost a twelve round unanimous decision in their 2014 rematch.
Bradley, WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford and British star Amir Khan are the three candidates being considered for Pacquiao's next return.
Now with new trainer Teddy Atlas by his side, Bradley believes a third bout with Pacquiao would be different - but 'Desert Storm' is pushing for his close friend, Crawford, to land the opportunity.
Pacquiao will review tapes of Crawford, Khan and Bradley, and then make a decision in the next few weeks. The upcoming fight is expected to be the final bout of Pacquaio's career.
"I want to see Crawford get that Manny Pacquiao fight. He's the next superstar in boxing and I want to see if Craawford can dethrone the great Manny Pacquiao," Bradley told BoxingScene.com.
