"Bomba" Gonzalez Targets World Champs, Eyes Viloria

By Rey Colon

Jonathan 'Bomba' Gonzalez (11-0, 10KOs) is hunting for a world title at 112 pounds. The young prospect is so confident that he has the ability to capture a world crown, he is willing to challenge any of the current champions in that division.

"I think I deserve it. I've worked hard in my life. Since I was a very little boy I worked hard for what I have but I think 2013 will be my year to become a world champion and meet my goal. It will be at 112 pounds, my natural weight. I do not care who the champions are or what country they are from. I'll go against any champion. Give me a chance. I want to do five defenses and go up to 115," he said.

And although it is too early to address it, Gonzalez likes the idea of fighting at some point with Brian Viloria.

"I have no problems with that. He was supposed to leave the belt vacant [and move up] but he's still here [at 112], and I'm ready to fight. What I need is a little bit more experience and fights. But we are ready."

All these young Pr prospects are thinking they can have 15 pro fights and win a belt. From what ive seen theyve all failed recently when stepping up. How about taking your time and developing yourself having 20-25 fights before…
