Luke Blackledge has had his opponent confirmed ahead of his next fight.

The Accrington super middleweight, 20-2-2 (6 KOs), returns to the ring next month and will have his fight televised exclusively live on BoxNation.

Blackledge, 25, will defend his Commonwealth crown on May 13 at the Premier Suite at Bolton Wanderers’ Macron Stadium.

He will come up against Ishmael Tetteh (31-12-2, 18 KOs) as part of the undercard to Jack Catterall’s WBO Inter-Continental super lightweight title defence against Joe Hughes in what will also be a final eliminator for the British belt, which is currently held by Tyrone Nurse.

Boxing Scene was informed of the fight being made by Blackledge’s manager Steve Wood, who said that many of his ticket sellers will be in action over the coming weeks on various different bills.

Former WBC International Silver champion Blackledge hasn’t boxed since last October when he went the distance –– and defended his belt, which was won against Liam Cameron last April –– with Lee Markham over 10 rounds and in Tetteh he comes up against a Ghanaian who calls himself ‘The Black Roy Jones Jr.’ and made his debut over 13 years ago.

Tetteh is known on these shores as the man to have fought Martin Murray, who fights twice in the next eight weeks, in his Golden Gloves debut back in April, 2014.

Elsewhere on the card, Jimmy Kelly (16-1, 7 KOs) returns to the fray after losing in a world title fight last December and there is action for a host of young and undefeated prospects, including Indian sensation Vijender Singh (4-0, 4 KOs).

Steven Lewis (10-0), Macaulay McGowan (9-0) and Ciaran McVarnock (5-0-1) will also feature, alongside the likes of Joe Costello (5-0), Jack Flatley (3-0) and talented lightweight Zelfa Barrett (9-0).
