BJ Flores Punishes and Stops Nick Iannuzzi in Five

By Edward Chaykovsky

At the O’Reilly Center in Springfield, Missouri, cruiserweight contender BJ Flores (25-1-1, 16 KOs) stopped Nick Iannuzzi (16-3, 9 KOs) in five rounds. Flores landed an overhand right that dropped Iannuzzi hard in the first round. He was down until the count of eight and barely made it up. He was saved by the bell. Flores then punished Iannuzzi until the boxer's corner stopped the contest at the end of the fifth round. All three judges had it scored 50-44 after five rounds.
