At the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, heavyweight contender BJ Flores (34-3-1, 21 KOs) won an easy six round unanimous decision over Nick Guivas (13-6-2, 9 KOs) in the main event of an Iron Boy show. All three judges scored it 60-54.

The 38-year-old Flores stopped Jeremy Bates at the same venue in front of sold out crowd in the first round in February.

Flores had hoped to finish off Guivas faster than Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller did, when he stopped him in the second round of their fight last May, but Guivas was in defense mode from the start and offered very little in return as Flores followed him around for six rounds and threw punches.

In a recent interview with BoxingScene.com, Flores stated that he was targeting a big name in the heavyweight division - and unbeaten punches Lucas Browne was at the top of his list.

"I'm looking for Lucas Browne and other big guys like him with power. After this Saturday I want to get right back in and take advantage of the good shape I'm in. All the champions are busy. He is a very good fighter and I think the big guy with all the power and those KOs makes for a very interesting matchup. He is 25-0 (22KOs) and would be the perfect next fight," Flores told BoxingScene.com.

" I have a huge experience edge and have gone many more rounds. My amateur pedigree and Team USA experience versus his power and size. What happens in that fight? Let's find out."

This was the second win a row for Flores, since getting stopped in three rounds by then WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. Flores claimed that he was fouled in the bout, but left himself wide open to complain to the referee and Bellew drilled him for the stoppage win.
