Beterbiev-Koelling, Magdaleno-Juarez To Land at Cosmo in Vegas

As BoxingScene.com had previously reported, Top Rank is going to stage a special ESPN televised boxing card on October 31.

The Halloween event is going to land in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

The special Tuesday edition will take place at The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino on the strip. On Wendsday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved the date, at the Cosmo, for Top Rank.

WBO super bantamweight champion Jessie Magadaleno (25-0) facing his mandatory challenger Cesar Juarez (20-5) in the evening's main event. 

Artur Beterbiev (11-0) will face Enrico Koelling (23-1) in a IBF light heavyweight eliminator in the co-main event of the evening. The winner will become WBA/WBO/IBF light heavyweight champion Andre Ward's mandatory challenger.

Beterbiev is currently in a legal tussle, attempting to break his promotional agreement with Yvon Michel of Canada. Top Rank won the IBF's purse bid to secure the promotional rights to Beterbiev-Koelling. Top Rank has an obvious interest in signing Beterbiev - if he breaks away from Michel.

Magdaleno captured his title by defeating Nonito Donaire last year and made his first title defense in April with a knockout of Adeilson Dos Santos in Los Angeles. Juarez also faced Donaire and gave the then champion Donaire all he could handle in a close loss in their December, 2015 bout.  He followed that peformance up by knocking out the then unbeaten Albert Pagara (26-0) in their 2016 fight.

Beterbiev/Ward would be a great fight. Man I hope he aces this fight and that one gets signed.
