Berto vs Ortiz Draws Biggest Rating For HBO in 2011

The past Saturday’s main event on HBO featuring a welterweight championship bout between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz - attracted 1.5 million viewers, making it the highest audience for a fight this year on HBO. This audience number is for the live Saturday night airing of the fight on the network.

At Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Ortiz (29-2-2, 22KOs) captured the WBC welterweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision over the previously undefeated Berto (27-1, 21KOs). The fight was a war, a fight of the year contender, and both men went down twice. The scores were 115-110, 114-112 and 114-111.
Awesome. Can you say "rematch"?
I disagree, respectively. No immediate rematch. Let both of them take on other challengers, this will serve to open up the division a little bit more.
