Berto Says Better Training is Key For Revenge on Ortiz

By Ernest Gabion

Former welterweight champions Andre Berto (28-1, 22KOs) and Victor Ortiz (29-3-2, 22KOs) are very focused on their scheduled rematch on February 11th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. They first met in April of this year, in a Fight of The Year candidate, with Ortiz pulling away in the second half of the fight to win a twelve round unanimous decision.

The difference in the rematch is the training, says Berto.

"[The difference in the rematch is] just being more focused and having a tremendous training camp, not cutting any corners and just going hard in camp. I believe the camp for the first fight was so-so, I could have did a lot of things better. It is what it is. He came out with the win and I learned a lot from it and now I'm better," Berto told BoxingScene.com.

For his September win over Jan Zaveck, Berto used nutritonist Victor Conte, and noticed a difference is his energy level and strength. He plans to use Conte again in the rematch.

"I'm definitely going to be in contact with him and I'm definitely going to be taking a lot of supplements from him and bring the whole team together," Berto said.
Is Berto saying he will be roided by Conte lol
Berto saying he is going to take lots of Victor Conte's "supplements" should set off alarm bells -- and would in any other sport.

Ortiz acts like he is retarded or something in his brain is not working properly. Anyone who acts like they support him are a bunch of losers who will jump on someones bandwagon after they are successful against superior talent.…

Berto was just off on a night where Ortiz was juiced up. Berto is going to beat a sober Ortiz to a bloody mess. I'm gonna be there this time to make sure that dude with the Mohawk in the…
