Beltran Hopes To Land Adrien Broner, and Knock Him Out

By Osman Rodriguez

Super featherweight contender Miguel Beltran Jr. (26-1, 17KOs) is hoping to land a title fight with WBO champion Adrien Broner (23-0, 19KOs). Broner is scheduled to return on May 19th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, but he doesn't have an opponent set for the moment.

On Tuesday, Beltran had a hearing with Nevada's Medical Advisory Panel and he was approved for a license to box in the state. Beltran, currently ranked at #7 in the WBO rankings, is available and ready to fight Broner.

"Broner only fought one real opponent in his career and lost - but he was given a gift over Daniel Ponce De Leon. Broner's nickname is 'The Problem.' That's a good nickname for him because the only problem he has is when he fights real Mexican nationals. He likes to play with his hair brush before and after he fights. I will be happy to help him brush his hair when they wake him up after I knock him out," Beltran said.
^^^^This. Far better than Sykes or Clay. Beltran is actually a legit/solid title defense, much like his Eloy Perez defense. Hope this happens.
No this is much better. Beltran is a great prospect/contender. He was beating salgado in their fight.…
Difference is Broner has defense and will most likely not get knocked down 73 times in his career.
Thank you. And though Broner tends to clown a little bit in the ring, like he did with Eloy Perez, he doesn't…
