Beltran, Hirales Get New Foes For Zanfer's Tijuana Card

By Rafael Soto

New opponents have named for Miguel Beltran and Raul Hirales, who both return this Saturday night at the Arena Tecate in Tijuana, Mexico. Hirales (20-2-1 , 9 KOs) was going to face Puerto Rican slugger Jonathan Oquendo (23-3, 16 KOs), and "Barreterito" Beltran (28-2 , 18 KOs) was set to face Puerto Rican puncher Jose "Chelo" Gonzalez (22-1 , 17 KOs) - but those two fights fell through as agreements were not finalized in time.

Instead, Beltran (28-2 , 18 KOs) will now go against undefeated super featherweight Carlos "Chuko" Diaz ( 12-0, 6 KOs). And Hirales is now going up against Fernando "Ferocito" Vargas (26-7-3, 18 KOs), who fought to a six round majority draw in 2010.
