Tony Bellew (21-2-1, 13KOs) made his cruiserweight debut this past Saturday night, with a twelfth round knockout of Valery Brudov at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. The talk continues of a possible rematch with domestic rival Nathan Cleverly, who also plans to move up to the cruiserweight ranks.

Bellew doubts that Cleverly actually wants to fight. The fighter has withdrawn from several scheduled dates for his cruiserweight debut and remains inactive since his four round knockout defeat at the hands of Sergey Kovalev last August. Cleverly won a close twelve round decision over Bellew in October 2011.

"He won't fight. He doesn't want to fight. I don't care what anyone says. He doesn't want to fight. He's pulled out [of several fights] in a span of two years. He doesn't want to fight. It's as simple as that. If [Cleverly] wants to fight, [he] knows where I am. Stop walking around and moaning and whinging and telling the whole world. Just fight. Get in the ring and fight, that's what you're supposed to do. I'm sick of talking about him," Bellew said.

I don't mind either Bellew or Clev, but neither are real elite level fighters - their success at LHW was due in a large part to the weakness of the division at the time. I don't think either is going to distinguish themselves particularly at Cruiserweight, but I wouldn't mind a rematch betwee...
Bellew was knocked down a few times in his career and must have felt lucky getting back up and winning those fights.. probably why he is more cautious these days
I suppose - but the world class fighters are just going to beat him to the punch anyway. I like Bellew...
I don't think he was ****ting himself but he seemed to have suffered from paralysis by analysis in the fight with Stevenson. For all his tough talk before the fight and to put in place such a circumspect game plan was a bit off. He had to throw with Stevenson to have any chan...
I liked Bellew a few years back and then he seemed to lose the drive and power and against Stevenson just looked like he was ****ting himself. At cruiser he just looks fukin fat, it was hilarious how he waddled into the ring on saturday night with his lil man boobs.
...
